Coach Lex Tripps

Coming from a famous swim family, she was a coach at Swim Seattle in Seattle Washington. With a father, two sons and a husband, all accomplished swim coaches; she has a broad background on swimming. Lex is the mother of Scott and Dan Tripps, both accomplished swimmers and swim coaches, and has been coaching at Hopkins since 1993. She also coached on the West coast at a number of schools including Swim Seattle in Seattle, Washington. She has also coached in California and Tulsa Oklahoma. Lex is always busy, but never too busy for a cheery word to our parents and swimmers. Currently she teaches at Shakopee High School. She can coach any group but has a soft spot in her heart for our Breezes & Blasts.
