Dear
Hopkins Hurricanes Parents,
We
are excited to begin preparation for the Fall/Winter swim season and we hope
you are as well!
Registration
night will be held at the North Pool on September 9th from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the water. Once again, we will
have a pool party for swimmers, siblings and friends while the parents take
care of business.
To
expedite the registration process:
- please
print and complete the attached Registration form and bring it with you to
the pool (Registration form also available on the website under
“Join our Team”
- please
print and complete the Emergency Contact form and bring it with you
- please
bring two checks with you – one for your dues payment, the other for your
$100 volunteer deposit.
Due
to the cash flow challenges we have encountered over the past seasons, we will
continue the following practices regarding dues and fees.
- A
three part payment plan is available for those who would like to take
advantage of this opportunity. The first payment is due registration
night. If you are unable to attend registration night, the first payment
must be received by Sept 18th. The second payment is due Nov
15th and the last on Jan 15th.
- A
$25 late fee will be assessed for each payment received greater
than 5 days after the due date. If the three part payment plan is chosen,
a $25 late fee will be assessed each time a payment is late.
- Additional
late fees will be assessed for outstanding dues greater than 30, 60 and 90
days. All reasonable attempts will be made to collect the unpaid dues.
Any indication of intentional non-payment will be turned over to a
collection agency.
- No
refunds will be given except in the case of documented illness, injury or
relocation.
- A
$100 volunteer deposit for each family will be required at the time of
registration. The check or cash will be returned after the February 27
- 28 swim meet if a member of the family volunteers to work a minimum
of one shift (half day) per swimmer during each of our team sponsored
meets. The meets will be held on November 7 - 8 and February 27 - 28.
- The
$100 deposit is not refundable in the event a swim family leaves the club.
- Any
outstanding dues from Spring/Summer 09 season must be paid by September
9th or swimmers will not be allowed in the water for Fall/Winter
season. Any exception to this due to temporary hardship must be approved
by the President and Registrar.
Finally,
we will continue our $75 reward for any swimmer who successfully recruits a new
swimmer to the club. To receive the award, swimmers must complete a Referral
Form. The reward will be paid upon receipt of the new swimmer’s dues.
